Guest guest
Hello Sherri, Thank you for your correction. The word is indeed " taut " . And I certainly did not intend to create a parody of pulse-taking. I was discussing some of the detail and richness of the system that I was trained in. I was not obsessing on detail. Human beings are complex and unique individuals and their symptoms can not always be neatly fit into the structures of a particular paragigm. To say, for example, that this patient is experiencing a Kidney/Heart disharmony leading to a True Cold/ False Heat condition would be an oversimplification. This patient may be in a (likely) state where the cancer has returned. Her symptoms may be a result of the 5 medications that she is currently taking. Certainly, there are emotional issues. Metal toxicity may be involved. Naturally, her water metabolic functions are impaired. So far, my working diagnosis indicates the primary imbalance to be that of Stagnant Liver Qi. Part of this manifests as a spasm of the diaphragm, which then tightens the thoracic organs, i.e., pressure on the esophagus, heart and lungs. Much of the pulse disharmony that I indicated resolves from the use of pts. such as P.6, Liv. 3, GB 34 and CV 17. She has also experienced some symptom relief with the use of TCB 5 from Metagenics, their Peony and Turmeric formula, and digestive enzymes. In addition, her physician has adjusted her thyroid medication from Synthroid to ArmorThyroid with additional supplements of Iodine and L-tyrosine. She is undergoing tests to get an accurate picture of her endocrine situation. (She is currently taking Premarin, which in my opinion is a wonderful medicine for post- menopausal mares.) The richness is in the detail and there is a tendency to over- simplify. Though I would love to fit these symptoms into a neat pattern, I have not yet come to a satisfactory and complete conclusion. Thank you for your helpful suggestions. luke , sherrilgol@a... wrote: > Why did that look like a parody of pulse-taking? Is there such a thing as > over-analyzing? Guest guest
Hello Luke, You haven't clarified which medications she's on besides the armorthyroid and premarin? Also, what was the reason for her complete hysterectomy? Her bowel and urinary functioning and habits would also be helpful. Since this is a complex case, the more information you give the easier it will be to see her pattern(s). Thank you, Shelly > " Luke Klincewicz " <l.klincewicz > > > Re: Sherri's comments >Wed, 31 May 2000 19:28:38 -0000 > >Hello Sherri, > >Thank you for your correction.
