Welcome

Plant It Herbs is a

mail-order nursery and has been growing

nursery-propagated Chinese medicinal plants since 1996.

In the gardens you will find perennials, annuals, vines

and shrubs that have been used in medicine for the last

3000 years in China.

Many similarities are found

between the Chinese species and our native plants. In an

effort to promote conservation propagation and exchange,

this summer I have the pleasure of hosting the curator of

the Guangxi Botanical Gardens, Wu Zhongfa from Nanning,

China. I hope to understand the relationship between

growing the plant and maintaining the quality of the

medicine it produces.

It's been an adventure to

discover all of you out there in the plant world who are

interested in growing and learning about Chinese

medicinal plants. I am pleased to be able to continue to

offer new varieties of Chinese native plants as well as

tropical varieties from South America to Africa, which

are also used in medicine. This year I am offering

Shitake mushroom and Reishi mushroom growing kits.

They're fun to grow and make great gifts.

Some seed stock has already

been depleted until this fall. Please order seed

early.
