SIMPLIFIED INSTRUCTIONS....... Pick up your phone and call 202-224-3121 - the Capitol Switchboard. Ask for your Congressional Representave's office (look in the front of your phone book if you really don't know who they are) Sample dialogue---- " Hello, my name is _____. I live in (city), in Congressman Smith's district. I would like to ask to the Congressman to support HR1890, which may be coming up for a vote this week. " They will probably ask for your address. Then, tell everyone else you know to do the same!!! Background......... HR 1890 (Hinchey) will .... " amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage of qualified acupuncturist services under part B of the Medicare Program, and to amend title 5, United States Code, to provide for coverage of such services under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program. " Here is what Harvey says---- there is a move afoot to get this bill brought to the House Floor THIS WEEK and acted upon before the July 4th recess!!!! This week is the time for us to instantly mobilize phone and fax support from our patients and fellow practitioners in support of HR 1890. The number for the Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121. THIS WEEK we should all call in support of passage of HR1890, the Federal Acupuncture Coverage Act. Seize the Time!!!!!
