Swabbing the skin

(1) When I was in China they taught us to just wipe the skin once as if you

go

back and forwards you just wipe the dirt back and forwards.

In Australia now the diabetic association is reviewing whether to swab at

all!!!There is evidence that you are better off NOT to swab.

As for me ...I stopped swabbing ages ago and so have a lot of our other

members...though officially we still do.

(2)I have never felt the de qi with plastic serins as I can with the Chinese

metal handles.But if you practise Japanese acupuncture you don't need to get

de qi (like you do in China anyway) so it probably doesn't make a

difference.Serins are much more expensive ...in NZ anyway
