CPT Codes

Is anyone out there using CPT codes for herbal treatments? If so how

and what kind of response are you getting?

 

I am just beginning to work with an allopathic physician and will be

providing acupuncture services through his clinic. The CPT codes for

acupuncture appear to be pretty straight-forward, but we would like

to incorporate herbal medicine too and we are not sure how to deal

with them from a billing perspective. Specifically, we are looking

for a way to bill my time in making the diagnosis and prescribing the

formula. (This would be in addition to the " extended office visit " he

typically does when a patient first comes to the clinic.)

 

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
