Post surgical impotence

A 51 year old patient presented to my office with impotence and knee pain.

Four years previous he had surgery for what I think was a malignant

prostatic carcinoma (ESL patient with no medical records). He initially

came to me to help with knee pain, and the impotence as a second complaint.

The knee pain resolved and I did not see him for some time. His doctor now

wants to give him a penile implant, which he is looking to avoid, so he came

back to see me. His tongue is pale purple swollen with thin white fur,

pulse forceful, wiry. Dx of Liver Qi & blood stag with Kidney Yang Def.

Has anyone had success with post-surgical impotence, and this long after

surgery?

I have given him herbs, but am curious as to what others suggestions might

be. This last time I

focused on the Kidney more and gave him You Gui Wan, Ren Shen, Rou Cong

Rong, and Dan Shen, using powders.

Thanks,

Sean

the tongue is pale purple...so there is possibly blood stasis

which can contribute to impotence...try hong hua etc

Dear Nashua,

I wish I can help you. I use to treat kidney and all kind

of Hepatitis ( A,B,C). The knee pain, I have special treatment. I use

the Ten channels and crapyng combined with Chinese herbs to treat this

kind. No matter how serious it is. The patients came to me. They never

have to have surgery. This treatment do not in any book or school

teaching. So, I only can tell you about herbs to help him better.

However, I need some more information about him:

The tongue, the pulls, the eyes, the touch's, the likes, the urine, the

stool, all these different information if you can get from him. I will

figure out to make the formula for him.

sincerely yours

Nhung Ta
