Guest guest
Z'ev/anybody, I would like to know your views on the following M.S. unually in TCM terms is wither a Spleen and/or kidney vacuity (xu). The latest drug Avonex, interferon beta-la to treat MS has the side effects of flu 'like' s+s headache tiredness muscle aches chills & fever ie possible Shao Yang S+S It is advised to counteract this with paracetamol. Other signs & symptoms include depression, diarrhoea, dizziness, joint pains, indigestion, lack of appetite, nausea, sleeplessness, fits, fainting, rash, suicide. Could the drug act as pathogen & go into Shao Yang? If so, could it go deeper to Jue Yin. How would this complicate an already exiting Spleen/Ki vacuity? Heat above and cold below (flushing up, sensitivity to the hot sun, urinary incontinence, cold abdomen, severe vacuity constipation) often corresponds to jue yin. In some cases there is a possibility of a latent pathogen at shao yang. Those cases have a better chance of responding to interferon therapy. Yes, the drug creates a symptom pattern that is definately shao yang, as you mention. This is called in homeopathy a 'drug disease'. In some cases, if the patterns match, the drug disease will cancel out the disease. If not, more severe 'side effects', or transmutation of the disease into a more complex entity, or sinking deeper, as you have noted, into jue yin. Guest guest
Dear Group, Does anyone know why I see an ad for a Visa card above Z'ev's message in his emails? Who puts these there? Who allows this to be part of our discussion group? Julie

For a price, we can have the ad removed all together. Its something like $50 per month or $50 per year. Sorry that I can't remember which. One of the " benefits " of belonging to Egroups - the list has NO control over Egroups inserting the ads. Probably not something that Todd wants to do (understandably so). Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! /
