Guest guest
I spoke with Chris Hobbs about the virtues of Ling zhi in mycelial versus mushroom form. The highest concentration of active constituents is found in the spores, which means that the bracket is stronger than the mycelium. He uses granules from decocted brackets in his own clinic. OTOH, the mycelium is so much cheaper that one can use more of it, to similar effect. That means the effective gram weight needs to be adjusted upward if you use mycelial forms of Ling zhi. But even with a somewhat greater equivalent quantity, the preparation should be able to save patients money. Hobbs totally discounts any theory of greater bioavailability for mycelium as marketing hype. Decocting, especially when given with Vitamin C and folic acid is sufficient. Guest guest
The difference in strength between mycelial and mushroom Ling zhi is approximately 100%. So use double the quantity of mycelial forms in formula, extract concentrations assumed equal.
