Guest guest
To All: Does any one out there have any first hand experience with refining artemisia into moxa wool. I have experimented with the process using artemisia argyii imported from China and locally grown artemisia vulgaris to produce some pretty good moxa. I am wondering how they process the wakusa (I think thats what they call it)in Japan to result in the grainy almost sticky texture of the wool. Perhaps its just a trade secret not to be divulged. Any input? I have used plant that has been aged just 2 months which gave the finished product a somewhat yellow greenish tinge. When I used the year old dry plant it resulted in the more golden yellow color I am familiar with. I also wonder if wether using argyii or vulgaris makes a difference in the energetics? of the finished product, they both seem to burn about the same. regards Matt _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
