Guest guest
Yat Kai Lai is the official personally trained follower of a very well known master in China. I believe he started studying at the age of 6. Although I some very good and impressive outcomes following up on his patients I have to say that looking at statistics of close to 100 patients was disappointing. Same with Miriam Lee and she is by far the best acupuncturist I ever followed...... is this kind of one-on-one master-disciple training largely gone these days? or is still availbale in China? Guest guest
Alon (?) Could you please expand on your statement about Miriam Lee. Exactly what disappointing was? what were the best results in etc..? Did she use herbs? Reading her books (as with many case study books) one gets the immpression that you (or should I say her) can CURE anything with TCM... Also, a note to all, although it could be just me, could we all cut out old msg.'s etc (more) Thanx... - Although I some very good and impressive outcomes following up on his patients I have to say that looking at statistics of close to 100 patients was disappointing. Guest guest
Miriam has an exceptional observational abilities and she picks up information about patients very quickly. She has diagnosed many patients with serious diseases even when other practitioner have missed. She often gets quick relief of pain symptoms, however the relief was almost always short lived. Her patients were treated quite often and for very long duration. Much of the longer tem improvement could have been attributed to the natural course of the condition. At times she did have what seemed to be quite miraculous results, as all of us do. Miriam Lee is not fully trained in herbs and she mostly used patent medicines. alon - Monday, September 18, 2000 1:52 PM RE: placebo effects Alon (?) Guest guest
Do you think this is because Ms. Lee uses alot of " master Tong " points (I'm unsure of its lineage-correct me) which increasingly has this reputation of being good for short term pain relief?
