Guest guest
Heiko, your messages sometimes, but not always, come through as a couple of letters/symbols. ???? Does anyone else get this? Guest guest
Catherine- Your three line message came surrounded by 143 lines of HTML code. I usually have to page down three screens before I find your messages. Maybe someone who understands Microsoft Outlook Express can explain how to avoid this. Guest guest
I have no idea why that is happening. I just verified that I have Outlook Express set to send and receive only text, not HTML. Is everyone else receiving my messages that way???? I receive them in HTML because I have my browser set up to do it that way (feature under Tools/Internet options/Accessibility in IE5.5). For me, it makes the messages easier to read (hence, the feature is located under Accessibility). I don't know what's up with Heiko's posts, but as for the html issue, you may need to go to // and change your egroup settings to receive html mail instead of text. That should hide the code. I know some folks are opposed to using html on the list, but I find it useful for many reasons and I want to continue using html as people see fit. I couldn't receive it on my server if I wanted it. Others, like most in Europe, pay by the bandwidth and html uses up far more than text does- that's why I got 143 extra lines of code on Catherines 3 line post. It also is impossible for many disabled persons to use with their translation equipment. That is why most lists prohibit html.
