Guest guest
I want to thank James and Heiko for their insights into my case. James, my question is where is a good place to learn better pulse dx? I went to a school where we learned very basic pulses and those not very well. As to the location of her pain it's at zigong, liver and gall bladder channels palpate out as most sensitive I got the idea of insect medicinals from the Bob Flaws Gyn book, however in this case, it does seem to be too much. You mentioned Health Concerns, I have thought about using a product called Cramp Bark Plus, and I have a question, what does the group think about these formulas using western & chinese herbs? Heiko, yes she gets a lot of colds & flu. These two formulas, both pills were taken together, with the amount of Bu Zhong greater after period and the amount of Gui Zhi Fu Ling Tang greater at period time. I agree with you she seems to be to weak to take Da Huang & Tao Ren, the fact is she has been taking too low of a dose to get a therapuetic affect, I have been looking for something else. She does take Xaio Yao Wan before period when she has PMS sx. However, I attempted to use 8-treasure pill to build blood and her energy went down and stools got looser. I should have added a Kd tonic a long time ago and I need to consolidate these herbs into one formula. Any other suggestions? snydez99@ ..com From homework help to love advice, Experts has your answer. http://experts./
Guest guest
There are several sources to consider for learning advanced forms of pulse diagnosis. I am scheduling a class on how to combine Nan Ching and Li Shi-zhen pulse systems at CSTCM; it will be on Wednesday during the semester (about 20 weeks). I will probably do a series of weekends (3 to equal the class time), next year, since that's an inconvenient time for everyone except the enrolled students. You should look for Leon Hammer's seminars; he has an extensive knowledge and a series of certified courses. His book is due out from Eastland Press in Spring; I expect it to become the new defacto standard. I don't know if Michael Broffman is open to teaching the public. Although I haven't had the pleasure of talking with him yet, one of my friends spoke with him a few years ago and said his knowledge was very sophisticated. These would be my first three choices. Everyone else seems to be repeating the basic Li Shi-zhen material or just the fundamental TCM info (which is a subset of Li Shi-zhen). Z'ev, is Broffman teaching openly? So far, he has only passed on the knowledge to his private students. I would speculate that he will be putting out a commentary on the Nan Jing in the next few years.
