I wonder why this is so? > > todd While I am hardly a historian, I can only speculate that in the translations I have seen, it appears that Li Dong-yuan used acupuncture, which was more in tune with wu yun liu qi, whereas there is no evidence that Zhu Dan-xi practiced acupuncture. I suspect it is this aspect of li's work that makes it still so controversial amongst modern px (as Greg Bantick indicated in an earlier post), rather than the yin fire theory.
