Guest guest
Heiko, The Journal of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is published by Harcourt Health Sciences in the UK. I've recently taken over as editor and am now working on the next issue which will be out in March, 2001. As I said, anyone who would like to contribute can contact me directly. The journal's website can be found at: http://www.harcourt-international.com/journals/caom/ It's being updated and still contains some out-of-date info. So it's best if those who are interested get in touch with me directly for the next couple of months. But you can get subscription info at the website. Guest guest
Alon, Frankly, we'll see. Our aim is that the journal pertain to the needs, wants, interests and activities of those in the field who care and are responsible enough to do something about it. One of the key features in the journal is peer-review. In the March, 2001 issue there is a piece by Bob Felt called Readers' Rights that focuses on this topic, i.e. the conduct of peer review in the field. Nigel Wiseman's Language the Neglected Key piece will also appear, as it establishes another principal theme of the journal, i.e. how to understand what we're all talking about. Richard Hammerschlag and Stephen Birch are preparing pieces that address the state of research in the field, and this will be a major focus as the journal develops. We are also intent upon providing an English language forum for Chinese, Japanese, Korean and other East Asian sources as these represent an indispensable array of perspectives on the field. In addition we will feature student work, as a way of encouraging development of research and writing in the field. And we will devote space in each issue for review of new and existing texts. Beyond these points we are open to suggestions and welcome input from all with something to say. " There are three issues due out before the March 1st issue, according to the last I heard. Rory
