Guest guest
greetings, i have been reading the list since 9/00. being busy with taking nccaom exam etc, i have been too busy to write, untill now. back in sept. there were a couple of posts about the heavy metal / pesticide toxicity of herbal medicine coming from china. while in china 2-6/00, i met some people from europe. they had mentioned that germany was stopping the importation of chinese medicine due to a couple of deaths atributed to this kind of toxcity. most of the companies that are importing concentrated powders from china into the usa, claim that their products contain minimal to no heavy metals, pesticides etc. does any one have more information on third party inspection of these products? what is the true content of toxic polutants? malik

The companies(I know) importing the herbs get tests done by independant labs. Herbs are mostly sold in pharmacies (in Germany) so they have to have these tests done. Just write to any company you know and ask them for the tests they do. They should reply.
