Guest guest
I know we're all supposed to follow a particular format for case histories, but I haven't seen this woman yet. She just called to see if there was anything I can do and I haven't got a clue. So, I'm not so much looking for " the answer " as " the direction. " Can anyone make some suggestions as to where I might look further to study this problem? Female with history of contact dermatitis. Around 1971, she was exposed to antibacterial soap at work and developed severe dermatitis wherever the soap touched. Soon after that, she began to experience allergic reactions to other substances, e.g., shampoo, conditioner. Then, sometime in 1972, she developed an allergic reaction to direct sunlight. That is, whenever she is in the sun, she develops itchy bumps on all areas of exposed skin. The bumps are dry, not weepy. She doesn't develop the bumps immediately, but several hours later. Her physicians haven't got a clue, other than telling her to stay out of the sun. She's got a graduation coming up in Texas and is afraid she's going to boil. All suggestions welcome, including " go fly a kite, you stupid git!
