Guest guest
I have a hypothyroid patient who had been on standard spleen/kidney qi and yang tonics for months. She had little relief. She was also coming down with recurring colds and had a sweating disorder. I decided she may have a ying and wei disharmony. Since gui zhi tang can be rationalized as a mild qi and yang supplement, I decided to give it a try. the patient has now experienced dramatic improvement in her condition. sorry I don't have time for details of the case, but suffice it to say that I only used the formula because it also fit my TCM dx, not just just based on sx like sweating and colds. the rx was modified with huang qi and fu xiao mai. -- Chinese Herbal Medicine
