You can just do it the old fashioned way by cooking down to a thick

liquid and preserving with alcohol, glycerin or honey. You can't

preserve essential oils this way, but there are plenty of herbs that

don't owe their action to volatiles. I know a fellow at PCOM who is

making various extracts, but mainly things like ling zhi and royal

jelly, which can be prepared this way with no loss of actives.
