It apparently speeds up the rounds of REM so that the next day I would be physically tired but without the too-little sleep spacey feeling. Kava Kava shouldn't be used every night, which I have told to many of my patients. Also, on a side note, when one of my straighter Chinese professors saw us using sage to clear out the clinic one day, she remarked, " Oh, we use Qing Hao for that in China.
