Lorne Brown, B.Sc., CA., DTCM

Lorne Brown received his training in Traditional from the International College of Traditional of Vancouver. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario and is a member of the Traditional Association of British Columbia.

Lorne has presented at the Northwest Regional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Conference, and has been a guest lecturer for the Canadian Liver Foundation, the Canadian College of Natural Nutrition, Electronic Arts Canada and AIMS. He recently was a speaker at the AIMS second annual conference where Dr. Andrew Weil was the key note speaker. Lorne’s presentations are clear, easy to follow and frequently include demonstrations.

Lorne operates his general practice in Vancouver and has a special interest in treating women’s health conditions, digestive and gastrointestinal disorders, sports injuries and pain management. His primary method of treatment is acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle counselling all according to Chinese medicine principles. He also uses Tuina, craniosacral therapy, Bach Flower essences and NLP to assist his patients through their healing process.

It is Lorne’s treatment philosophy that no one discipline may successfully treat all conditions or pathologies exclusively. He places strong value on the different strengths that other health care professionals are able to offer and he feels that patients are best served by a multi-disciplinary team approach.
