Guest guest
Flossing and biannual teeth cleaning have solid research behind them.My dentist also recommends an herbal mouthwash called tooth and gumtonic from the dental herb company. I believe that in the absence ofproper hygiene and topical aplications, internal approaches likeclearing stomach heat will not be effective. Does anyone know ofchinese herbal gum and mouthwashes? I believe raw licorice tea isthought to be effective for this purpose. It clears heat and toxin andis antibacterial. I once decocted a very concentrated formula as a mouthwash for a patient with this problem think I used Xi Xin , Bai Xian Pi (made your mouth tingle as I remember), Sheng Ma, Dan Zhu Ye , Huang Lian Gan Cao and Shi Gao. Seemed to help quite a bit, tastes kind of knarly. used it to rinse mouth prior to brushing a couple times per day. Just store it in the refrigerator between uses There's a patent called Ya Ton Shui toothache liquid noted in Balanger book contains Xi Xin, Bing Pian(yuck), Bi Ba and Gao Liang Jiang.claimed usefull for gingivitis. I like my combo better I think. cheers matt Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
