Guest guest
Group One of my collegues (I can never spell that word!) has a patient who has had most of his small intestine removed. The patient has been progressively losing weight . Only acupuncture has been done to date , mainly addressing st/sp , and Chinese dietry advise with good results I may add.(I can forward a full case history which has been submitted to a journal for those interested). I read in Claveys book, I think in reference to Li Shi Zhen , how he made up some herbal pills and coated them in wax so that they would be used up in the da chang . Any comments from the group if we tried to supplement herbal Spleen tonics in this way , if it would be appropriate. Heiko
Guest guest
Was the wax coating was used to by-pass the small intestine in order to work on only the large intestine? If so, it seems counterproductive in this case. It sounds like absorbtion in the small intestine is central if the problem is weight loss. Please forward the case history.
