Guest guest
On ChineseMedicinenet I have posted a longer reply to Robert L. Felt's post " exciting development " (from his discussion site on paradigm, under chinese medicine and computers). I feel this is a very important discussion, and refer to ChineseMedicinenet post: " Databases, Prospects / future issues for discussions " for furter on this notice. My point in regard to Classical TCM knowledge, is that Databases is the only future for a modern man to link up with thousands of years of medical experience. Chinese medical texts (also in english) shall and will become online, open for everyone, it allready is the case for many chinese classics in chinese on chinese networks. The only way to securely save the literal tradition, is to have it scanned and digitalized, stored online, for everyone to use. Since there are clues to western databases being developed, (se Robert L. Felt's post " exciting development " see below for link) - I find it appropriate to arouse consciousness around these topics, because they are of such great importance for the TCM community. If you are able to read chinese, I suggest checking the web on a regular basis, where you will see that the chinese world is speeding into the incredible with online libraries. Often they need downloaded software to view though, bur I have seen places that were free.
