liver rising on the left...

In the nei jing it states that the liver energy rises

on the left and the lung descends on the right… What significance does this

have in actual practice? With

acupuncture one can justify some uses of one-sided needling with this type of

statement. Though, herbally how would one use such information? In the dui yao book, the qing pi and

chen pi combo mentions that chen pi rectifies the qi on the right side of the

body and qing pi rectifies qi on the left side… Does anyone use this type of thinking?
