From a TCM perspective, this may be either because yin xu caused the heat component of dampheat or the dampheat burned up the yin. this is a perfect example of the necessity of treating the mutually engendering pathomechanisms of a complaint in order to get longterm relief. Is anyone saying that using yin tonics alone got this result or yin tonics with spleen qi tonics and damp drainers? Liu wei di huang wan, for example, tonifies yin, qi and drains dampheat.
