Guest guest
alon, She did not have a sexual trauma as far as I know. She did get intravenous procaine. As for a spinal m echanical problem, I will have to look into that- thank you Her problem is deffinately vistibulitis, and pain is the main issue here.Do you think herbal treatment will be effective ?I am thinking of a moving blood formula with herbs such as- tao ren, yan hu suo, yi mu cao, wu ling zhi, etc. thanks boaz - alonmarcus Tuesday, October 02, 2001 10:37 PM Re: vuvar pain She has what is called Vistibulitis or vulvar pain. >>>>First if this is truly what she has it can be very difficult to treat and usually there is a history of sexual trauma. A pudantal (? spelling) nerve block and intravenous procaine can be helpful. Also, treating all trigger points in the pelvic floor sometimes is of at help. This requires great trust from her as you may need to do some of them per virginal, including massaging the anterior SI ligaments. more painful when sitting >>>>>>>The fact that this changes her pain suggest that her problem is mechanical and not a primary Vistibulitis or vulvar pain. I have seen this in several patients. The first thing I would rule out is some kind on internal disc problem. She will need a discogram done by somebody very good. A disorder at the T12 level often refers pain to the genital area and should be ruled out. I am sure she had stronger analgesics than yin hu suo. I have had a minor improvement in one patient that, although showed secondary symptoms of heat, had deep underlying coldness with fu zhi formulas. I used gui zhi tong with 15g of fu zhi. Working on the pelvic floor can often give much relief. It is however a very difficult condition to treat. Alon

I am sure she had stronger analgesics than yin hu suo. I think some of the other herbs have more than just analgesic effects. they actually alter the inflamed tissues in a postive way. I can't prove this, but I certainly have had plenty of patients with chronic inflammatory conditions who go into long term remission even after discontinuing herbs. So I think the efects are more than just palliative. In blood Stasis and aging, yan de xin makes a good case that blood moving has much more than merelysymptomatic action. I have had a minor improvement in one patient that, although showed secondary symptoms of heat, had deep underlying coldness with fu zhi formulas. Fu zi is much underused and can be used safely in fairly large dosages, too, if cooked long enough. I have also seen geat results with this herb. I was just making a point about analgesia. This is rarely a simple condition we are talking about here. Probably one of the most difficult ones to treat Alon
