Guest guest
Hi all- I have a client I have been treating for 3 months for recurrent vaginal inflammation. She is post-partum 4 months, and since giving birth has been experiencing even more frequent occurences of red, inflamed, itchy vulva with slight white-to-clear discharge. It itches so much so that it causes slight bleeding of the vulvar area. She has always had a history of this, even before pregnancy, but they have since increased in frequency. With tx, she has seemed to be improving, and until yesterday, had not had a re-occurence for 2 months. Normally she gets them at least 1x a month and takes heavy duty oral medicine to get rid of them (diflucan, double the regular dose, and for 4 days). Other relevant signs and sx: overweight since birth of child, eating very well and exercising but cannot lose extra 40 pounds. Was not heavy before pregnancy but is big-boned. Good emotions, happy, a little stressed at times, but has full-time help with infant. Slight gas, no indigestion, 1-2 formed bowel movements a day, no headaches, thirst for cool water, tends to guzzle. Pulse is deep in all positions, and weak. Tongue is red, little fur, and has a depression in the lung area so that the sides " curl up " a little, and is slightly pointy with petechiae on tip. She always feels warm especially since birth of child, but partially atrributes that to excess weight. Urine is normal, perhaps she gets up once a night to urinate. Hunger is normal. Tends to be a little impatient at times. Energy reasonable, though dips in afternoon. Stamina is poor, trying to regain through cardio exercise and yoga. No bloating or edema. No trouble sleeping, except on occasions where newborn awakens her. no unusual sweat. Would like to hear what y'all think before I tell you how I have been treating her (plus, I don't have the formula in front of me!!) thanks- Hillary
