TCM=Yellow river=Yanzi-chung=Missippi river.

Dear group,

 

I have to made some clear cut about TCM.

 

There are some historical points we have to pay

attention about how TCM accepted by western.

 

First,TCM=chinese culture=Yellow

river=Yanzi-chung=Missippi river

 

For a huge and long river,some small river might join

to the main-stream in some place it flood,and the

river also will devide into few branch,but it always

keep the position of main stream to cross the whole

country.That's TCM(or chinese culture).

 

Sometimes,Daoism,Bhddhism,and some other culture join

into TCM.And,sometimes,it devide

into many many branches,Qi

Kun,herbology,massage,Gua-sa,moxibustion,fortunen

telling,

geomancy,maditaion......

 

As well as Confucius and I-ching,poem....

 

The original of TCM(the river) is Sen-long Shi(as well

as the original head of yellow river is a very very

small spring water(some one traced before).

 

But,I don't think that any branch can present the

main-stream.

 

Second,the original head of TCM became accepted by

western,according to my weak understanding,it is about

the Ching-Danyasty.

 

There are lots of people immegranted o SF,LA from

China for search Gold.Chinese slave labor didn't have

money and right to see a western doctor,so,They bring

the needle and herbs from mother land,especially

needle,the power full controller can't prohibit any

thing,and acupuncture was really work ,sometimes,the

controller also seen the effect.Therefore,they

accepted acupuncture to be a treatment medical.

 

After that,many of westerner would like to learn

acupuncture.For westerner,becasue of the language bar

an dculutre bar,it was not easy to explan what is the

name of every point in chinese although every name of

the point all got the meaning of acupuncture and TCM

throry(in fect,they all got a beautiful name in every

single point since 1000s years ago,ancient people add

new point by new name ,but didn't change the old name

often)).

 

So,that's why WHO use L123456,S1234567. to be standard

acupuncture points.And this way make acupuncture into

labyrinth in western.

 

In fact,Western missing many many good part

of TCM and acupuncture.That's why I keep to request

the learner should cross the culture bar and language

bar to find treasures both in Mainland and Taiwan.This

is not arrogant of Chinese.

 

I know not much so far about acupuncture because I get

same feeling that acupuncture people by needle is no

different than use knif punch people(Ha!Ha!)

(I understand herbs more.I almost figure out the

thinking process of ancient doctor's herbology by

reading their books).

 

But,I have confidence if I start to learn acupuncture,

I will be a very excellent one in a very short time

because I know how to figure out the meaning of each

points.And,puncutue the less points as better as

possible.

 

Many acupuncture books in Chinese provide good

knowledge of their experiences.I read some.

 

In ancient,acupuncturist should follow the four

steps to diagnose sick people,delete useless

variables,than,decide what kind of herbs to use and

what points should punched.the doctor I presented to

Julei is really an expert in this approach.

 

His family is TCM family since long time ago.And, he

is much excellent then me.I am a student only.He is

mentor.

 

We chinese always eager to fine a good mentor while

we learn TCM.Maybe It is not custom to western,but I

did realy cecommand a very good mentor to Julei.This

didn't mean that Julie is incapable in TCM.

..Acutually,both Julie and Hillary are all very good

in TCM Diagnosis and treatment. I like the way Hillary

present the case report.very good one.

 

About integrate th TCM and WM ,it is no problem at all

if you really all figure out what TCM is and what WM

is.I know how to combine both of then very well,no

problem at all.

 

Before the integrate,get the whole picture of TCM

is the most important thing.

 

Maybe western TCM learner should pay more time to

learn chinese language and words,just like what I

said,TOFLE and GRE.

 

If you prepare well,This is good for you to dig the

treasures in chinese TCM books,or maybe some day I can

show you the way ancient TCM doctor think while they

treat patient if you got good ability in chinese

language and words.
