Guest guest Posted November 12, 2001 Report Share Posted November 12, 2001 Hi,Susan, Varicella zoster virus infected(shingles) There have two classify symptom of shingles in TCM: A:Dampness toxic type wet(dampness) is heavier than heat:--yellow color of shingles. symptom: dampness heavie type:skin present yellow pus head of pox(varicella),plate on the surface of skin.strong pain ,but painless than type B.dry dampness of spleen is not the first piority,dry directly ,might cause repeat shingles again.strengh spleen is the better way. A type patient also got symptoms of abdomen flatulence lower digestion, stool like diarrhea.--spleen dampheat. Dry dampness soup Chun-Zu(green zu) Pa-Zu(white zu, for dry dampness of spleen) Chen pi Ho-Po(thick po) Zu-lin(pig lin) Fu-lin Dan-pi Ze-xia4 Tan-hua-fan Gin-yin-hua Di-dean Gan chao Ku-sen apply method:shun-houng(male-yellow)30 g Bin-pan0.5g wter mixed applied. B:Heat toxic type Heat is heavier than dampness.red color of shingles. Skin in red pox,roundishthan turn dry scab. symptom:mouth bitter,throat dry,irritable,this is strong liver fire,fit to use Long-dan-xie-gan-tang. apply method:U-lu-gao(no formula) ..If necrosis use Xing(ching,green)-Dai powder water mixed applied. post pain: Nan-sin san to apply.(from surgen,13 formulas) Raw nan-sin(south star in chinese) 30g Pai fu-zi(white fu-zi) 9g pai-zi(cured tone)(white) 1.5g pig gall juice(can you get this is USA?) honey mixed after apply,if apply area get dry, add rice vinegar for reduce pain. location: Some offence trigeminal never and eyes might cause great pain and blind.Because face is belong in stomach channel,have to clear stomach fire first. add some plaster (shi-gao), Sen-Ma, ger-gan(root clear stomach fire) No matter where the location is ,follow the diagnosis of four steps of TCM. The case you mention the other time.The male with leg problem.Cou you provide more detail,for example ,more detail about the histroy ,and puls diagnosis... He present a Kindey yin and extremely xu symptom amand many others,but the information is not enough. These all might cause the leg problem.
