SIOM will be doing a 12-day

course on the SHL at SIOM next year, over 5 weekends [two of them Friday-Sunday]

February through June next year. Dan Bensky will teach the introductory

classes and then they’ll have some advanced workshops featuring Ma Shou-Chun

and Nie Hui-Min. You can check out the details for yourself at the following

I fact I was talking to a colleague about organizing such a course.

I'm new to the East Coast, so I don't know what sort of support such

an event might get. His impression was that it might not fly. What do

you think? What about a course such as this in Manhattan? Where are

you?

I am in Maryland, near Baltimore. I think an herb course such as

the SHL one might fly in NYC, Philly, or Boston. There would be good

support here, but perhaps not at strong as on the west coast. I'll help

promote any such course that gets organized here.

Does anybody know how good is the English of the Chinese presenters or is going to be by interpreters?
