Guest guest
I am hoping to get started on a new project on drug-herb interactions in the coming months, but it is a long-term project. I was also involved with the original software, called Interactions, and as far as I know, nothing new has happened with this project for some time. Guest guest
One other point I wanted to bring up that is interesting, because I have experienced this in clinic several times. That is acupuncture/drug 'interactions'. I have seen acupuncture treatment neutralize, to some degree, the following medications: 1) morphine 2) immuno-suppressive medications such as cyclosporine 3) headache medications such as zomag From my observations only (no studies have been done on this), acupuncture seems to, in restoring normal qi flow, speed the metabolism of certain drugs by 'detoxing', in a sense. Often, symptoms will return, such as headaches, skin eruptions or pain. In one case, a cancer patient with severe chest pain, if I treated her more than ten minutes, the morphine dose would start to wear off and the pain would return. I was treating her just to keep her channels flowing, to give her a sense of balance and well-being.
