Before this takes on a life of its own, I should point out that

Dr Shen used traditional pulse names in Chinese for the pulse

qualities - the same ones that are found in most Chinese medicine

texts.

You will also find that, in his book, Leon Hammer has cited

traditional sources for many of the pulse qualities he describes.

These source were the available English language translations.

Therefore, any perceived improvements in terminology in the

teachings and writing by Leon Hammer are relative to the English, not

the Chinese, terminology.
