Both Hammer and Jing offer contemporary systems of pulse diagnosis

that expand upon classical theories and are innovative; but don't

constitute a new paradigm. What would constitute completeness in a

system?

The Dong Han system is certainly a classical one, but I haven't seen any

complete rendition in English. Are you working on one? If so, I would

request the ability to cross-reference to Chinese and/or Korean

characters and or pinyin/(Korean equivalent of pinyin).

The Hammer system is packaged as a system in and unto itself. . . .and a

better glossary of terms, with characters and pinyin, is necessary in

order to determine for the student what is a classical pulse description

and what is original. We owe it to our students to teach this material

as accurately as possible, with adequate references to source texts,

glossaries and dictionaries.

Trying to locate the ideas in terms of Chinese concepts is what I'm

working on now in a series of articles. There isn't a complete

rendition into English. The whole system hasn't been taught.

I'll look forward to it. I've always found Jiang Jing's work inspiring,

just difficult to decipher.
