Autoimmunity and Pulses

We had several patients in our pulse study group with autoimmune

problems. It made me think of way to write a formal rule for

students saying that autoimmune problems are characterized as a

failure or inhibition of the child to take revenge in the 5-Phase

Revenge Cycle of metal---which controls wei qi.

 

Has anyone else noticed that in autoimmune problems fire displaces

the water movement in Metal (lung)? If we examine the sine wave in

the right Distal zang qi depth, a fire quality shows up where the

water movement should be at the six o'clock portion. It's easier to

see when the sine wave begins at 9 o'clock than the bell curve

verion that begins at 6 o'clock.

 

This movement can be interepreted in the 5-Phases of metal as water,

the child of metal, failing to take revenge for the mother. There

are many examples in the Mai Jing of the wrong pulse at the wrong

time creating critical conditions.
