I agree with you. Follow the money. The herb companies will

immeasurably and directly benefit financially from this type of

research. They should LEAD this initiative; it is part of their cost

of doing business. For practitioners to want to finance the

research, it is more about their own social standing and

justification for being able to practice on par with other

professions. It is not a bad thing to want that, but doing someone

else's job to achieve it is the wrong way.

 

I suspect the herb companies already have a cartel or assications

set up for themselves. Perhaps the least they could do is set up a

free clearing house or database on the internet for the research

already done. It would prime the well and set an important

precedent. Schools, associations, and practitioners could use it for

classes and to demonstrate their efficacy to news organizations and

the general public.

That would be nice but what we need is good clinical research more than anything
