I guess it depends how you define TCM. To me, TCM is an integrative east west medicine, not classical CM. And I believe this TCM is superior to either east or west alone. > > As far as anti-cancer medicinals go, I will quote a Chinese cancer > specialist, Dr. Song Hing (translated by Dr. C.S. (Dr. Song Hing) be that as it may. research suggests very strongly that combined east west therapy in cancer is better than east or west alone. and the use of herbs is very commonly prescribed for the express purpose of protecting the zheng qi in the presence of strong attacking agents. Thus being used to prevent side effects. In fact, CM is all about using herbs that protect the zheng qi to prevent side effects from those that address the branch pathologies. All branch herbs are potentially dangerous, so this idea is implicit in all prescribing, IMO. > > " There is no information on panacea-healing- using a rigid formula or > specific herb- of cancer. Only research proves whether they are right or wrong. the most dramtic documented resutls I have seen in numerous conditions have been seen in integrative therpay, not CM alone. Arguably, this would not be the case if I was better at CM, but since I get the results without iatrogenesis, the point is moot to me.
