Guest guest
With many difficult cases I tell the patient, " yes, chinese medicine treats this, but if you were in China you would be in a hospital where we can monitor your herbs and medication twice a day. " That usually sobers them up to seeing an MD or at least getting a realistic view of the degree of their disease. >>>>>>>>as for cancer, we always get a small number of patients in the school clinic who refuse modern treatment, thus we end up treating them. One case that came across my desk recently was a woman who should have had a lumpectomy 2 years ago. Upon the advice of a quack, she went on a raw food diet, refused all modern treatment and used inadequate amounts of herbs prescribed by someone with no formal training in either herbology or cancer. now she has terminal liver metastases.
