Guest guest
Dear Colleagues, DHS has confirmed that PC Spes contains synthetic warfarin via two independent labs. Botaniclabs independent lab results reported the material was not necessarily Warfarin, but may instead be a phytocoumarin that may " mimic " Warfarin in laboratory testing. There has been some suggestion that it may come from a naturally occurring source, however, according to Richard Coe of DHS, there is no scientific evidence supporting this opinion. There is some information that suggests PC Spes may have efficacy. However, the basis of efficacy has not been determined. Dr Coe believes in consumer choice based on adequate information and that it is a safe product. In this case they believe the warfarin has been added in and is not a naturally occurring product. It is not herbal nor is it necessarily safe. The research must be performed to determine whether PC Spes efficacy is predicated upon the synthetic, the herbal or the combination of the two. Safety studies must also be performed. Other contaminants: In addition, Biobotanics labs have confirmed the content of Alprazolam. This is the generic name for Xanax, an agent, used in the management of anxiety and panic disorders. The California Department of Health Services (DHS) conducted an exhaustive study in January 2002 confirming no DES in PC SPES. An analysis and report by the US Food and Drug Administration had the same result. A peer-reviewed study published in the well-respected New England Journal of Medicine in 1998.
