Sorry to intervene with this post, but your link wasn't working Todd

and members should know why they are suddenly getting much

more spam or home phjone calls so they can opt out:

If you to any of the (and that includes all

), use Wallet or get Mail, you may have noticed

major changes in the amount of spam you are getting.

changed its privacy policy last week, contemptuously exposing

all of its registered users to third-party spam, marketing offers and

cold calls that they'd previously said they didn't want.

As from now, mail users are exposed to a dozen

unwanted " Special Offers and Marketing Communications " , and users

who've left their phone numbers with the portal will discover that

they've been " agreed " to cold calling and junk snail mail, for good

measure.

You can change your preferences manually. This entails setting over

a dozen " Enroll Me " options to " No " . You'll also need to change

the " Special offers from selected partners brought to you by

Delivers " to prevent third-party spam, and most importantly

(if you've left a mail address or phone number), deselect the contact

options.

To change this, go to:

http://./showaccount

If you have multiple screen names, change all of them. I noticed my

mailboxes filling up with all kinds of spam and received a record 37

new pieces of spywear or other unrequested cookies showing up in the

last two days.

Pass this on since has declined to straightforwardly notify

their customers. (It is therefore facing legal charges in Canada.)

which link is that?

P.S. is scum, but there are no other free list options

available anymore, at least none that can be trusted to be

around a year from now. the only option is a pay service, but

then you all would have to pay a subscription fee (about $5 per

month).
