He has a benign tumor. The development of benign tumors and the impact the immune system has on that development is quite different than that of malignant tumors (cancer). I do not believe the mushrooms you mention have been studied in this type of benign tumor. Also, since it is now being recognized that the category of diseases called cancer is actually a loose association of quite different diseases which all result in tumor development. So I would be careful not to make any claims about the effect of an herb on cancer in general (because there are few valid generalities that can be made in this field). I would limit my report to the specific cancers studied. What these herbs can most certainly do is stimulate the immune system to prevent chemo side effects. This appears to improve treatment results. However, chemo is not involved in this case.
