Guest guest
Jim - I agree with you on your point about threshold. The toxins such as metals and chemicals are identified via lifting through the blood depth. This method is from the Ting family lineage of Dr Shen. For those of you who are not familiar with the system, I feel this is one of the significant contributions of that method. This single method changed my clinical life. This method of analysis is distinctly different from those related to latent heat. However, antigen-antibody complexes floating in the blood stream will generate findings through this method - so allergies and byproducts of infectious processes will show up here. Example: 53 yr. old male with a complaint of shoulder pain, it is worse after lying down for extended periods. There are no other concomitants such as better with cold or heat, or pressure. Tongue is pink with a thin yellow coat. Pulse is 48bpm, and bowstring by standard methods. I pushed to the organ depth and lifted into the blood depth where the pulse got wider and slippery. My first question was to rule out athletic influence on the cardiovascular system - there was none. The patient exhibited no signs of cold. I began to inquire about toxic exposures. It turns out he had worked in a metal factory where he was exposed to toxic chemical solutions. The diagnosis was impeded circulation due to chemical exposure causing stagnation of Qi and Blood in the arm Tai Yang. The treatment plan was to use acupuncture for the shoulder pain and use herbs to resolve the toxicity. After six weeks of treatment, his pulse rate returned to normal (such quick resolution is strange in my experience). The wider, slippery sensation resolved when lifting through the blood depth. The bowstring quality remained, and I considered it to be constitutional. The shoulder pain resolved. Will Morris Otherwise, almost all pulses would always show evidence of heavy metals, cancenogens, pollutants, pestasides, viruses, etc. Even though the compensatory actions of the organism are not absolute, there is a threshold below which even pulses cannot be read---especially with the limited training and sensitivity of most practitioners.
