Guest guest
I have a family member who has just had a nephrectomy to manage renal carcinoma. The tumor was malignant but without mets. Post-surgically he is recovering well but is left with a bladder with a volume of about 1450 ml, normal being around 500 ml I think, and his prostate weighs around 200 g, about 10 times normal. His doctors want to do a transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP). In the meantime they are going to catheterize him to try to shrink his bladder. He is at a distance so I don't have a TCM diagnosis, but wonder if anyone has dealt with a similar situation, I have not. He could opt out of the surgery and try other things.
