Hi All, & Hi Alon

Though not strictly TCM/Herbal, practitioners should be aware of the

clinical power of well used homeopathy or isopathy. Both fit well into

an holistic approach to healing with herbs, acupuncture, massage,

counselling, Yi [intention], guided imagery [Qigong/prayer], etc.

In homeopathy, one determines [and prescribes] the Simillimum -

the remedy whose " Provings " in sensitive people produce ALL the

symptoms of the patient, including mental S & Ss and likes/dislikes.

For example if the patient's Pattern exactly maches the " Hypericum

Pattern " , one would give Hypericum in homeopathic dilution, say C6

(serially diluted 1/100, for 6 diluions, or 1/1,000,000,000,000 of the

original material) to C30 (serially diluted 1/100, for 30 diluions!). In

homeopathic practice, one does not say that the problem is caused

by Hyp, but one uses Hyp as the SIMILLIMUM to match the Pattern.

In contrast, isopathy is a medical system akin to but different from

homeopathy. Isopathy uses a dilution (C6 to C30) of the known or

suspected " Offending Agent " . For example, if a person develops a

violent itch after changing to a new brand of Suncream, one would

prepare a C6 to C30 dilution of THAT suncream and administer a

spoonfull of the diluted material orally at 5-10 minute intervals. The

results can be incredible and very fast - well worth a try.

In the case of oesophageal scarring, one would administer a C6 to

C30 dilution of the caustic, or whatever else was KNOWN to be the

chemical irritant.

Homeopathy says: Treat X with " Like-X " ,

whereas

Isopathy says " Treat reaction to X with a high dilution of X " .

Best regards,
