Guest guest
My two cents: The postings on all listservices, and I believe CHA to be no exception, are predominantly made by a small percentage of the membership. Regular posters are typically already " public figures " associated with the promotion of ideas, products or services. People who are willing to put their ideas and rationales before a public contribute not only to the interest group's knowledge base but also to its understanding of the " who, why, what, when and where " of the various interests active in the field. Thus, a listservice such as CHA informs the field beyond the exchange of useful day-to-day instruction. At first glance then the occasional anonymous lurker or occasional poster presents no problem. But, by responding more to some threads than others, and offering their own responses and opinions, those who post less frequently nonetheless help to set opinion trends that reach well beyond the listservice. That is both a privilege and responsibility and no one who is unwilling to identify themselves should be permitted to participate. bob bob Paradigm Publications www.paradigm-pubs.com 44 Linden Street Robert L.
