Dear Members

 

I have not used the list to promote Chinese Herbal Medicine conference in

the past. However, since it will not be a profitmaking venture and in

order to insure that it meets your needs, I thought it would be OK.

 

Next year, the plan is to offer a variety of events. This will include 2

tracks of workshops, one for classical CM and the other for topics in

integrative medicine. Many prominent herbalists have already expressed

interest in offering a workshop for one or the other of these tracks. In

addition, we will be having a presentation of original papers. These

papers will be selected by peer review and also published in one of the

peer reviewed TCM journals. This portion of the conference is designed to

provide an opportunity for lesser known practitioners, researchers and

scholars to have an audience for their ideas. All such papers will need

to be based upon material not available in english. A formal call for

papers will be made soon, but feel free to ask for more details now. We

will also be having meetings for the herbal vendors association, teachers

of herbal medicine and more.

 

Finally, an evening networking event, to which all conference attendees

will be invited. Our integrative track is being cosponsored by the local

med school and our goal is to attract open minded MD's, etc. This will be

a great opportunity to make contacts outside your field.

 

Things are still a long way off. Next june in san diego. Just thought I'

d whet your appetite now.
