Guest guest
While not exactly a Chinese alternative, research indicates that 1,500 mg of calcium hydroxyapatite was effective in increasing bone mass in post menopausal women. The study, which I believe was done in Norway, found that no other calcium supplements (oyster shell, bone meal, Tums, calcium oxalate) increased bone mass. No hormone replacement therapies were used in conjunction with the supplement. It can be found as a significant ingredient in many such formulas in local health food stores. I am assuming that the supplement will work on your patient even if she doesn't speak Norwegian ( ::::: ) Guy Porter DrGRPorter
