Gunther Neeb, a German practitioner who trained in China (from beginning to

end, and he ended with a doctoral degree!!), says that the best thing he has

found are green tea leaves. It takes quite a bit, maybe 50g (dry); make a

strong decoction of this and soak the toes in it daily. It stains the toes

and nails yellow. But it is supposed to kill the fungus.

 

Also, Blue Poppy has a toe-nail fungus ointment if I remember correctly.

Does anyone have a topical formula that they have used

successfully for toenail or fingernail fungus?

 

This particular patient is fairly unremarkable;

female, mid-50's, slight blood deficiency. However,

occasionally she has a flare-up of fungus under her

right thumb, and then the nail falls off and

eventually grows back. This happens 2-3 times per

year.

 

I've been unable to find anything about nail fungus in

my TCM dermatology books, so any input is appreciated.
