In that time I have tried several Chinese electro-AP stimulators, a 30 mW infra-red laser, Scenar, and SuperLIzer. The latter is a Japanese instrument costing c 11000 US$. I see no clinical justification to use these toys today, In my experience, simple AP is as good as (and often better than) " hi- tech " AP in most cases. There are a few exceptions, for example electro-AP is more convenient and probably technically better to induce surgical hypoalgesia, for example for tooth extraction or other surgery. It also may be better in treating paralysis. That said, I would still treat paralysed dogs [ thoracolumbar disc- disease, grade 3 or 4] with simple AP. I have come full-circle and am back where I started - with simple needling. .. .. Guest guest
Phil, I agree with simple needling, however, I think that to help accelerate healing of bone fractures, electro-acupuncture is desirable. I also like using Manaka's ion cords as taught by Kiiko Matsumoto. Fernando , " " <@e...> wrote: > Hi All, & Hi Alon, > > > They are all just toys with little proof behind them.
