Guest guest Posted September 13, 2002 Report Share Posted September 13, 2002 Yes - because certainly ma qian zi (sm strychni) has a different function in TCM where it arousees the spirit, courses the channels, resolves sweelings and controls pain. I know many are familiar with it's use for cancer. He used it in ping xiao dan, I believe one of his own prescriptions, along with zhi ke, yu jin, wu ling zhi and xia ku cao. It is discussed in his book " Diagnosis and Treatment of Carcinoma in .
