Low-lying placenta

Patient is 35 weeks, low-lying placenta, some bleeding of brownish

blood, source not clear but ultrasound is not showing retroplacental

source, so possible cervix. Nonetheless, the risk of prematurity is

high, so I'd like to try both stopping the bleed and raising the

placenta. Patient is doing the right things in terms of rest, under

good care. I haven't met the patient yet, just doing some preliminary

research, and will probably see her Saturday morning.

Anyone experienced with this?

Anyone (Bob Flaws?) aware of articles? (I searched the Blue Poppy

sight and didn't come up with anything)

TIA

I haven't seen the patient yet, I'm doing some preliminary research

before doing so.

Sharon Weizenbaum is an acupuncturist and herbalist in Western Mass.

w/considerable experience with women's issues and has a few case

studies/articles on her website. One article is on Premature Rupture

of the placenta. It may be useful. Her website

is /www.whitepinehealingarts.com and I have tried to provide a link

here:
